There are two articles definite and indefinite Definite article is the since the is pointing out some particular person or thing.  Rina saw the pilot; means, some particular pilot. We use definite article before plural countable noun, singular countable noun and uncountable noun. For instance the pen, the pens, the tea etc. Indefinite articles a or an , it usually leaves indefinite the person or thing.  Reena saw a doctor; means any doctor. We use indefinite article before singular countable nouns. For instance a watch, an umbrella, an enemy, an orange, a book etc. Uses of de
