NOUN : Definition and Kinds of Noun(BASIC)


So, I am here to teach Noun Definition and its Kinds in easy language. Here Hindi Translation is also available, who is comfortable in Hindi they go with Hindi. 

What is Noun ?

A NOUN is a word used as the name of a person, place or thing.
NOTE : The word "THING" is used to mean anything that we can think of.

  1.  Reena go to park.                   
  2.  Taj Mahal is so beautiful.
  3.   I like pencil.
                                 

KINDS OF NOUN  


There are mainly four kinds of Noun 
  1. Common Noun
  2. Proper Noun
  3. Collective Noun
  4. Abstract Noun
Besides these Kinds of Noun there are two more Kinds of Noun
  1. Countable Noun
  2. Uncountable Noun 
Let's discuss in detail.

  1. Common Noun : Common Noun is a name given in common to every person or thing of the same class or kind. 

For Example, Girls follow me. In this sentence common noun is GIRLS. Now another sentence, All men are lyres. In this sentence common Noun is MEN.

      2. Proper Noun : Proper Noun is the name of some particular person or place or thing. 

NOTE : The first letter of Proper Noun is always in Capital. Naina for Example.

Examples : Naina come here. In this sentence Naina is Proper Noun. Now take another Example, We are going to Delhi. Now in this sentence Delhi is Proper Noun.
NOTE : Proper Noun are sometimes used as Common Noun. eg, Kalidas is often called the shakespare of India.
NOTE : Common noun include what are called Collective Noun and Abstract Noun.

      3. Collective Noun : Collective Noun is the name of a number (or collection) of persons or things taken together and spoken of as one whole. 

Example, Parliament makes law. In this sentence Parliament is Collective Noun. Now take another example, Indian army had attacked. In this sentence ARMY is Collective Noun.

      4. Abstract Noun : Abstract Noun is usually the name of a Quality, Action, or State considered apart from the object to which it belongs.

Quantity : Goodness, Brightness, Darkness, Hardness, Softness, Honesty, Wisdom, Bravery, Badness etc.
State : Childhood, Boyhood, Youth, Slavery, Sleep, Death, Poverty etc.
Action : Laugh, Weep, Movement, Theft, Judgement etc.
NOTE : Arts and Sciences names example, Grammar, music, chemistry etc. are also Abstract Noun.

Abstract Noun 

From verbs : agreement from agree, discussion from discuss, arrangement from arrange, conclusion from conclude, belief from believe etc.

Adjectives : Anger from angry, beauty from beautiful, bravery from brave, difference from different, kindness from kind, honesty from honest etc.

Common Noun : Childhood from child, slavery from slave, brotherhood from brother friendship from friend, kingship from king, manhood from man, scholarship from scholar, neighborhood from neighbor etc.

     5. Countable Noun : Countable Nouns are the names of objects, people etc, that we can count. Example, Books, Pens, Sister, Doctor etc.

    

      6. Uncountable Noun : Uncountable nouns are the names of things which we cannot count. Example milk, oil, sugar, gold etc.

NOTE : Countable Noun have plural form while Uncountable Nouns do not.

संज्ञा क्या है?

किसी व्यक्ति, वास्तु, स्थान, गुण, कार्य या अवस्था के नाम को संज्ञा कहा जाता है। 
नोट: "थिंग" शब्द का उपयोग ऐसी किसी भी चीज के लिए किया जाता है जिसे हम सोच सकते हैं।
उदाहरण 1। रीना पार्क चली गई।
                       
             2. ताज महल कितना खूबसूरत है।
                         
             3. मुझे पेंसिल पसंद है।
                                  

संज्ञा के प्रकार


मुख्य रूप से संज्ञा के चार प्रकार होते हैं। 
1. सामान्य संज्ञा
2. व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा
3. समूहवाचक  संज्ञा
4. भाववाचक संज्ञा

इन प्रकारों के अलावा संज्ञा के दो ओर प्रकार हैं। 
1. गणनीय संज्ञा 
2. असंख्येय संज्ञा 

आइए विस्तार से चर्चा करते हैं।

1. सामान्य संज्ञा  : सामान्य संज्ञा  एक ऐसा नाम है जो हर व्यक्ति या समान वर्ग की चीज को सम्भोधित करता है।

उदाहरण के लिए, लड़कियां मुझे फॉलो करती हैं। इस वाक्य में सामान्य संज्ञा GIRLS है। अब एक और वाक्य, सभी आदमी झूठे हैं। इस वाक्य में सामन्य संज्ञा MEN है।

2.व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा: व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा किसी विशेष व्यक्ति या स्थान को सम्भोधित किया जाता है। 
नोट: उचित संज्ञा का पहला अक्षर हमेशा CAPITAL में होता है। उदाहरण के लिए Naina, यहाँ N कैपिटल है।

उदाहरण: नैना यहाँ आती हैं। इस वाक्य में नैना व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा है। अब एक और उदाहरण लेते हैं, हम दिल्ली जा रहे हैं। अब इस वाक्य में दिल्ली व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा है।
नोट: उचित संज्ञा का उपयोग कभी-कभी सामान्य संज्ञा के रूप में किया जाता है। उदाहरण के लिए, कालिदास को अक्सर भारत का शेक्सपियर कहा जाता है।

नोट: सामान्य संज्ञा में सामूहिक संज्ञा और सार संज्ञा भी शामिल है।

3. समूहवाचक संज्ञा: सामूहिक संज्ञा जिससे पूरे समूह का बोध हो उसे समूहवाचक संज्ञा कहते है।

उदाहरण के लिए, संसद कानून बनाती है। इस वाक्य में संसद सामूहिक संज्ञा है। अब एक और उदाहरण लेते हैं, भारतीय सेना (Army) ने हमला किया था। इस वाक्य में ARMY कलेक्टिव नाउन है।


4.भाववाचक संज्ञा: जो शब्द किसी चीज़ या पदार्थ की अवस्था, दशा या भाव का बोध कराते हैं, उन शब्दों को भाववाचक संज्ञा कहते हैं।

Quality: अच्छाई, चमक, अंधेरा, कठोरता, कोमलता, ईमानदारी, बुद्धि, बहादुरी, बदनामी आदि।
State: बचपन, लड़कपन, युवा, दासता, नींद, मृत्यु, गरीबी आदि।
Action: हंसी, रोना, आंदोलन, चोरी, निर्णय आदि।
नोट: कला और विज्ञान के नाम उदाहरण, व्याकरण, संगीत, रसायन आदि भी भाववाचक संज्ञा हैं।

Abstract Noun from

Verbs : agreement from agree, discussion from discuss, arrangement from arrange, conclusion from conclude, belief from believe etc.

Adjectives : Anger from angry, beauty from beautiful, bravery from brave, difference from different, kindness from kind, honesty from honest etc.

Common संज्ञा : Childhood from child, slavery from slave, brotherhood from brother friendship from friend, kingship from king, manhood from man, scholarship from scholar, neighborhood from neighbor etc.


 5. Countable संज्ञा : गणनीय संज्ञाएं वस्तुओं, लोगों आदि के नाम हैं, जिन्हें हम गिन सकते हैं। उदाहरण, किताबें, कलम, बहन, डॉक्टर आदि।
 6. Uncountable संज्ञा : Uncountable संज्ञाएं उन चीजों के नाम हैं जिन्हें हम गिन नहीं सकते। उदाहरण दूध, तेल, चीनी, सोना आदि।

नोट: Countable संज्ञा का बहुवचन रूप होता है, जबकि Uncountable संज्ञा नहीं।

POSITION OF ADJECTIVES AND ITS CORRECT USE

We will learn in this chapter that how to use ADJECTIVES and where we put ADJECTIVES. Generally we put Adjectives before the Noun but in this chapter we are going to learn Position of Adjectives and its correct uses. We have to know how to put adjectives.
